We are susceptible to myth, aren't we? I love myths, always will. It makes me wonder though what our myths will be like in another millennium or two... will we have myths about 911? about the internet? will anyone remember the politics of the day? Will anyone remember Obama or Osama? Will we tell stories about the mythical Kirk and Spock? Will anyone remember Disney or will it own the world by then and we will have to bend at the knee to Disney overlords (by the honor of the mouse)? I like to hope that we will have bright new mythologies in a thousand years.
Ah, well today is my favourite cheesy holiday so May the Fourth be with you Lisa.
