Little One in place . The copper has to dry for hours, so I'll stop for now and get started adding some color tomorrow.

Your sculpture is wonderful! It's very inspiring - I feel like I should go out and grab a lump of clay and beat into submission until something beautiful and dramatic pops out.

How do you add copper? I've seen copper (and rust and antiqued silver) faux finishes available in art stores before, but what do you work with and recommend?

For this sculpture I used 'Copper Topper' by Modern Options. It's cool because it is real metal powder, so reacts to chemicals for different types of patina. Nothing beats the 'real' real thing, but in a very mixed-media kinetic piece like this one, I'm all for using whatever technology provides to give me what I want.
