Until I read the subtitle "Mr. In white." I had thought that the rat was a female. I obviously didn't look too closely at the old picture to notice the tie. I think the hat being yellow previously gave me the impression that it was a bonnet of some sort. Mr. looks like a college professor or headmaster to me now...sort of a Mr. Chips character.
