She is absolutely gorgeous. Your step-by-step descriptions are seriously tempting me to try papier mache..... but i have something i have to do first, so i'm resisting the draw. For now ;-)
Your step by step instructions were fascinating to me because, as with all creation, it looks easy - mix some flour, water and glue, crinkle some paper, do some dry brushing - but that's all just the "doing" of it, and the doing and the creating are totally different things. More than the how-to, I appreciate you sharing the little window into the actual creating.
Thanks for your comments. I don't really know how well a thing goes over until I hear from you. next time I'll do my best to get a video of dry brushnig up for you. I'd like you to see it as much as possible in 'real time.' Thanks again and glad you enjoyed it!
Lisa is the creator of Poppets and other art. Talented authors tend to write stories about images she makes. At Strange Studios, in Palm Springs, California, she and fellow artist Benton Warren create fantastical kinetic works. This blog is about Poppets, life in the studio and other strange goings on.

Love the touches of purple throughout - adds an almost ethereal glow to her. Thanks again for the step-by-step!
What a lovely creature . And so different from the poppet gaia too: This one feels more secure more assertive. She would get rid of us so easily.
That is stunning!
Beautiful! I love the little purple poppet fairy.
Absolutely lovely! And I adore the fairy as well.

Beautiful!! It has been so cool to see the step-by-step process. Very generous of you to share with all of us.
