Aubrey, adding her usual creative twist. I started sculpting just before she was born. She was at least ten before she realized that everyone didn't have a studio, monsters and weird carnival creatures around the house and mom's who go to the grocery store in their slippers...

As the B-52s would ask, 'What's that on your head!' 'A wig!' OK, so maybe not a wig as much as, 'Mommy's toy.'

What a wonderful world it would be if more children grew up with creative energies swirling about them. Funny how our parents shape us - some without even knowing, while others (for good or ill) are sculpted with care. I say for good or ill, because many narrow-minded, bigoted folks got that way because their progenitors demonstrated in word and deed that such is acceptable behavior.

Better is the gentle hand guided by love and compassion, forming open eyes, open ears, an open heart and an open mind.
