Friday

Today was for painting and cleaning, tonight is for rehearsing and writing. My wrist behaves when I do. The brace helps, unless I take it off. Then after a while I remember why I was wearing it in the first place.

Thanks Carl, I needed that.

My son's medical discharge has gone through. As of yesterday, he is a civilian. He tells me about the wide range of thoughts and feelings surrounding this change. Light and darkness in there. I tell him I'm ready to listen whenever he wants to talk. He tells me he has already started his beard. I tell him to take photos every day. We can sequence them so he looks like a human Chia.

My mind turns to other sons and daughters.

I'll keep doing what I'm doing, and not forgetting.

Not a medical discharge, just a did-my-time-and-want-nothing-to-do-with-the-facist-stormtrooper-regieme-discharge

You're very welcome...and more importantly "thanks" to you...you don't know how much you inspire me and others.

I'm happy that your son is okay and back. I may have posted this once before but I'm going to again. I thank your son and all the sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, who serve our country. Regardless of one's thoughts on this war or any war I cannot help but be thankful and proud to all the men and women throughout history who have sacrificed some or all of their lives to make the world that I live in and frankly enjoy, despite the bad that goes with the good. I am honored to live in the world with those who choose to serve. Thank you.
