Brains, drying on the rack

Last night I dreamt that my GOH panel followed Neil's, and that only two people stayed and they had no faces. Originally there were five, with faces.
This morning, actually. Last night I was awake, for no particular reason. Our satelite service has extra movie channels this weekend. I've seen Batman Begins, in parts, at least three times. I nearly made it through War of the Worlds, but the icing on the cake was catching Kung Fu Hustle (Stephen Chow). I like the way it cracks me up.
It's that or I'm losing my need for sleep...

Hmm. Perhaps I could just keep Neil on stage for my lecture/sideshow (not slide-show), as a prop. Like the dancing guy in a Ska band. Except not dancing...

Entertaining the idea that this would actually work is unsettling on a number of levels including the idea that this kind of thing has worked in advertising for decades... and sometimes movies. So. Nix on that.

But the Frosted Side protests...

The brains are for the children's workshop. We will decorate lime-colored brains with fun stuff. We'll be talking about how to care for and feed our brains. We will do brain exercises and things that make us giggle. I'm looking forward to that.

I've finally managed to download some of the photos of the work on the 'Guardian'. (The male angel I'd posted on here:)
They're below. I just realized I forgot to post the photo of the feet. They're really nice feet, and you'll want to see them. So I'll post them now. Of course, that post will preceed this one, so you will have perceived that as occuring before this one, when actually I typed this before I typed SEE??WHAT DID I TELL YOU?
It's like.....time travel.
Two points of view...and other kid's stuff.

No, not dancing. Standing on a motorized lazy susan, rotating on stage behind you and making faces and gestures to try and distract the crowd.

Then you turn and flick your bullwhip in his direction.....

Oh wait that was *my* dream. Never mind.

So, is the brain decorating seminar only for chronological children, or can anyone come if they can demonstrate that s/he is a child emotionally and/or psychologically? I wanna decorate a lime green brain, dammit. Can I accompany my children as their "supervisor"?

I just read Ravyn'a post, above. It must be getting close to Con. You two are getting weird. Well, weirder than usual. Do you dream about bullwhips often, R?

First of all, I love the title "Brains, drying on the rack."

Second, I love that your brains are colored bright lime green.

Third, if WisCon wasn't this weekend, I'd so be there. The Snellings/Gaiman combo is a surefire knockout. If it were any other weekend.

Have a good time!

When I saw the green brains on the tray, for some reason, I was reminded of something that grows on a tree back home in Illinois - we called them Hedge Apples...apparently they are also called "Osage Orange" trees. We used to mess with these seed things, but they were full of sticky, milky oozy crap (lol) Here's a link to a picture of one...

You could always have Neil write the Lost & Found story on stage while you show pictures (lol) Sorry...couldn't resist.

Nice feet, by the way...

Dave

Osage oranges! We had those on the farm I lived on in Illinois - you are right the brains do recall them, I wonder if they will squish too. I agree with Jordan's Mom - I wanna decorate one too!!! PLS!!! Blank faces, bullwhips, etc., this will be interesting..

I know at least two people who will be at your GoH panel where ever, when ever. And as a bonus we both have faces, for now at least.

Braaaiiinnsss...

I like brains.

Lisa, if you do Christmas ornaments again this year, I think they should be brains.

I could even write a Christmasy little brain-poem to go along with them.

Yup. Definitely Osage Oranges. Perfect!

I have to say that the idea of brain ornaments is a great one too...can you imagine one of those in chrome? (lol).

Great brain picture! That picture itself would make a wonderful illustration for something strange!

I like the idea of you having Neil stay up there AND dance Ska style! You would have to video tape this of course!

Yeah I was bummed...I wanted to come do the Fun with Brains. I kept picking things to do off the children's programming menu. Is it good or bad that I like all things childlike?
