The Naked Truth

I got nothin'.

C. S. Lewis writes in The Silent Planet, "The love of knowledge is a kind of madness."

Perhaps this is true.

What I'm more sure of is how it feels to start to get the faintest idea of how much I don't know.

It's a bright void.

I loved the idea in the third book of his Space trilogy that Merlin had to be awakened from beneath the hill because only he could still use magics righteously, having come from a time when it was not immoral.

I wanted to say something brilliant. Or at least insightful.

But I got nuthin'.

Except this:

Which may come in handy, living out in the desert and all.

Good Lord.

I go away for a week and leave you alone, and when I come back find that you've spent the time mostly playing with old, dead bugs.

Must be August.

That looks suspiciously like a giggling brainbug. I like it!
Also, I now have Poppets hiding in various places in my home and car. They make me happy, and remind me to Wake Up.

Giggling? I assumed it had a headache. Though maybe that's because I do. Therefore no insights from me today...
