This one is for Ravyn, who has a tendency, when in the desert, to stop in her tracks to stare in amazement at the strange variety of clouds. One for your collection, m'dear.

My huzbin says they are all in rows, this would freak him out some! :-)

Ah yes, lenticular clouds. I've never seen any, but they've been fully discussed on the last page of the New Scientist. Apparently it's a "standing wave" of air movement that makes them line up in rows like that - they're sitting in the dips of the wave.

And they're also rather dreamlike. Cool.
