Late afternoon light on simple things:
A stray kitten who found refuge.
Weathered wood and smooth plastic
A chair that remembers many summers.
A whole winter's neglect on the glass.
Two cats going about the business of being cats.
And a boy, choosing to read.

I agree with Melissa --- focusing on simple things is what helps me keep things in perspective (and controls my inner panic)
It's an electronic book, but you gotta go with the technological flow sometimes.
Kitties remind us to be ourselves...the four who live with us remind me on a daily basis-sometimes hourly.
Reading releases our inner quandaries into the ethers to transform...into whatever we need at the moment.
