I was very little and it occurred to me that perspective makes all the difference in the world... to everything... to everyone. I can't quite express it properly... that seems to be the nature of epiphanies... but it sticks with me like a residue... whenever I hear the word 'perspective' a little shiver of awe runs through me.Rubiushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12489017422221346200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9604161.post-71373348580537638652008-07-03T12:05:00.000-07:002008-07-03T12:05:00.000-07:00I want a moon balloon...I want a moon balloon...Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14530845147391401083noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9604161.post-78135192599439837532008-07-03T09:46:00.000-07:002008-07-03T09:46:00.000-07:00I just reread this and I am taking away something ...I just reread this and I am taking away something perhaps different from what you were thinking about when you wrote this. I am in this place in life where time slips through my fingers but nothing ever seems to get done. The idea of really experiencing three minutes, and that something significant can happen in those three minutes is very powerful to me right now.

I do not tire of hearing about life in summer in the desert. But really, when you're here in it, it's astoundingly harsh. Very hard not to mention something that engulfs us.

davidK: I'm not familiar with the Phantom Tollbooth, but now that you mention it I'll be looking--and for Moorcock's Metatemporal Detective.lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07410230007560550179noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9604161.post-23528985601224342522008-07-01T20:08:00.000-07:002008-07-01T20:08:00.000-07:00Your eBay auction mentions this poppet's name as '...Your eBay auction mentions this poppet's name as 'Whether Balloon'.
