Perhaps it is when ...Is it bad karma to panhandle? Perhaps it is when doing so under false pretenses, claiming to be homeless when not. I never claimed to be homeless; I just wanted to sleep outside for a few days and people made assumptions and started handing me money.<BR/><BR/>In Tom Stoppard's "India Ink" (which I got to see during its original run in London, starring Felicity Kendall -- mwahaha) a character explains to another that in India the beggars are seen as providing a valuable service. When faced with one you ask yourself, "Am I in need of a some good karma today?"
